Red Deer duo Artur Troyan and Cody Cyman landed on the podium for Team Alberta Monday at the 2023 Canada Winter Games in P.E.I.
Troyan, 19, and Cyman, 15, earned bronze in the men’s synchronized trampoline event after combining for 42.110 points in their final routine.
“This feels amazing and it is definitely a big confidence booster for me,” said Cyman, who is representing Thunder Country Trampoline at the Games.
“I can’t wait to continue the competition this week, and see where this takes me.”
In their opening routine, the duo scored 42.130, followed by 39.850 to place them third through the preliminary portion of the competition.
New Brunswick won gold in the final with a score of 43.270 and Saskatchewan was just ahead of the Alberta duo with a 42.360.
“Today was filled with lots of challenges, with lots of ups and downs. We overcame each challenge, had some luck and are just super pumped and excited it all worked out,” Cyman said.
