The Red Deer U15AAA Ernco Braves were red hot over the weekend.

The Braves cruised to four wins over the Camrose Cougars and improved to 24-4 as the season winds down.

Addison Giesbrecht earned the win on the mound with six strikeouts in a 15-2 victory to open the series Saturday and added an RBI double in the second inning.

Wyatt McKeen Jake Brooks and Nathan Flewelling also all cashed in runs in the seven-run second.

In the second game of the doubleheader, the Braves added a 14-2 victory. Noah Nakonechny tossed five innings in the win, with 11 strikeouts, while the Braves racked up 10 hits and stole 12 bases.

Sunday morning, the Braves picked up a dominant 10-3 win and added a 10-0 shutout to cap off the weekend. Brooks had a home run to lead the way offensively for the Braves, while Luke Schmitt also picked up a pair. Wyatt McKeen earned the win on the mound, striking out five.

In the weekend finale, Avery Coumont pitched a gem, with eight strikeouts and no walks over five innings. Brooks added another two hits to lead the way for the Braves and they stole another 10 bases in the contest.
