Red Deer Vipers close out regular season with best record in HJHL

The Red Deer Vipers closed out the regular season with an exclamation point on Saturday night.

Red Deer dominated the Blackfalds Wranglers and picked up a 6-1 in their regular-season finale.

The win was the 12th consecutive victory for the Vipers.

Red Deer closed out the year with a 30-5-1 record and 61 points which won them the HJHL North Division.

In the win Saturday, Kayson Gallant banged home a rebound in the first and Aidan Wilson scored on a breakaway.

Declan Johnston added a second-period marker for Red Deer and Ryan Chambers scored for Blackfalds.

Cooper Willms, Mack Differenz, and Wilson added third-period tallies to close out the victory.

Vipers netminder Brandon Bilodeau made 21 saves to earn the win.

Red Deer will get a bye in the first round of the HJHL playoffs.
