Red Deer’s Ken Griffith runner up at Alberta Men’s Senior Championship

Griffith finished two over par

Red Deer’s Ken Griffith came up just short of the title at the Alberta Men’s Senior Championship on Thursday.

After leading at the end of round two at two under par, Griffith shot four over par in the third and final round at the Glendale Golf and Country Club.

Griffith fell from the top spot to finish two over par for the three-day tournament in Edmonton and James Varnam overtook him with a one under par performance.

Some of the other competitors from central Alberta include Red Deer’s Grant Lee (+14), Olds’ Keith Newton (+18), Red Deer’s Peter Innes (+23), Red Deer’s Chung Mah (+22), Olds Mark Schultz (+22), and Red Deer’s Thomas Skinner (+23).
