Red Deer’s Nate Danielson signs with Brandon Wheat Kings

Red Deer’s Nate Danielson has taken next step in his hockey career.

The 15-year-old signed a standard player agreement with the Brandon Wheat Kings after their prospect camp last weekend, the team announced on Friday.

He was drafted fifth overall in the 2019 WHL Bantam Draft by the Wheat Kings earlier this month.

Danielson had 26 goals and 59 points in 29 games for the Red Deer AAA Bantams during the 2018-19 regular season. he was named the Alberta Bantam Hockey League Top Forward and the Most Valuable Player at end of the year.

He is not eligible to play in the WHL until the 2020-21 season.
