Haydn McLean enjoyed a pair of two-goal outings as the Red Deer Renegades posted a pair of weekend shutouts.

McLean tallied both goals in a 2-0 win over the Sherwood Park Phoenix, and along with Nicu Ruicea scored twice in a 4-0 victory over Edmonton Juventus.

U14 Boys

Ben Anderson scored in a losing cause as the Red Deer Tier 1 Renegades fell 2-1 to the Edmonton Strikers in the championship final of the Father’s Day tournament at Medicine Hat.

The Renegades opened with a 4-0 win over Calgary NorthWest United, — getting two goals from Josh Simons and singles from Eli Palm and Josh Lewin — and also defeated NorthWest United 2-0 as Palm and Simons scored.
