Sundre’s Briley Scott and Three Hills’ Colton Award will be among competitors in the MNP Rising Stars Junior Rodeo Event during the Canadian Finals Rodeo in Red Deer next month.
The second annual Rising Stars event is set to take place at the Westerner Park Centrium on Nov. 2 from 1 to 3 p.m. The two central Albertan saddle bronc riders are among 46 competitors taking part.
Contestants for the Rising Stars Rodeo Queen Competition have also been announced.
The new event is part of the mission to give youth in rodeo an opportunity to showcase their talents and compete in the same settings as their idols.
Rising Stars Rodeo Queen contestants include: Gracie Chapple, Evie Neubauer, Ember Schira, Sadie Henn and Hailey Milligan.
