Shaun Sutter has been moved into the role of associate general manager for the Red Deer Rebels.
The shuffle continues behind the scenes for the Rebels, after Brent Sutter stepped down as the head coach for the club last season. Red Deer hired former NHL Steve Konowalchuk as its new head coach earlier this summer, as Brent continued his role as team owner, president and GM of the team.
Shaun had been the team’s assistant general manager/director of player personnel since 2013.
After retiring from professional hockey in 2009, Shaun was an assistant coach with the Regina Pats from 2009-11. He also joined the Rebels coaching staff for the final part of the shortened 2021 WHL season.
