Stettler’s Theren Churchill is continuing down the path towards life as a professional football player.
The six-foot-six, 295-pound offensive lineman, signed a contract Monday with the CFL’s Toronto Argonauts.
Churchill, a William E. Hay Secondary School graduate was a first-round pick, ninth overall by the Argos in the 2020 CFL draft.

The 26-year-old played USports football at the University of Regina, starting all 25 games at right tackle for the Huskies. He played four seasons of junior football with the Edmonton Huskies before heading to Regina and was also named a Prairie Football Conference all-star.
The 2021 CFL season is scheduled to start in June.
