The Sylvan Lake Gulls four-game winning streak came to an end Friday night when they lost to the Okotoks Dawgs 10-2 on the road.

Kaden Zarowny got two hits on four at-bats, meanwhile, Ben Prediger got the squad’s lone RBI.

After taking a 1-0 lead in the first inning the Dawgs would score 10 unanswered runs throughout the game until the Gulls knocked in their second run in the top of the ninth inning.

Cooper Johnson got the start on the pitchers’ mound for five innings where he struck out five and allowed six runs. Tyler Hampu and Ryan Reddemann both had short stints before Jake Finkelstein came in to close out the game with a pair of strikeouts.

The Gulls are now 12-8 on the year with two games in Brooks against the Bombers on Saturday and Sunday before returning home Monday to play Fort McMurray at Gulls Stadium.
