Sylvan Lake’s Steenbergen signs NHL entry-level deal with Coyotes

Sylvan Lake’s Tyler Steenbergen is one step closer to the NHL.

The 20-year-old Swift Current Broncos forward signed a three-year entry-level contract with the Arizona Coyotes Tuesday.

Earlier this year, Steenbergen scored the golden goal for Team Canada in the 2018 World Junior Championship finals.

So far this season, Steenbergen has 44 goals and 54 assists in 51 games for the Broncos.

Steenbergen was drafted by the Coyotes in the fifth round of the 2017 NHL Entry Draft.
