The Connor Bedard show is coming to Red Deer one final time.

And unless there is a playoff matchup between the Regina Pats and the Red Deer Rebels, Jan. 31 at the Peavey Mart Centrium will be the last time hockey fans in the area can see Bedard play.

The Regina Pats star is expected to be the first overall pick in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft and has filled arenas across the Western Hockey League.

Rebels staff say the game is nearly sold out and urge fans if they want to be there to get their tickets early.

Tickets are approximately 75 per cent gone and they anticipate the game to be sold out days beforehand.

It’s exciting to see the response from local hockey fans for what will be an exciting game,” said Troy Gillard, Rebels Director of Broadcasts and Media in a news release.

“Fresh off his sensational performance at the World Juniors, it’s easy to see that fans everywhere are anxious to see Bedard in action. We strongly recommend that fans act soon to avoid being disappointed.”

This season the Pats phenom leads the WHL with 70 points in 29 games and is three goals behind Rebels forward Kai Uchacz for the lead league with 31.

He also just returned from a record-setting performance at the World Juniors in Halifax leading Team Canada to the gold medal with 23 points in just seven games.
