The Red Deer Titans gassed a 19-5 first-half lead and fell 22-19 to Edmonton-Okotoks in under-15 girls’ rugby action Sunday at Titans Park.
Bryna Cline, Jordan Grant and Ann Marie Peturson scored tries for the Titans, who lost on the final play of the match. Emma Newton kicked two conversions for the Red Deer squad, which will play Saturday at Ellerslie Park.
• The Alberta Summer Games registration deadline is Wednesday and is open to all boys and girls in Zone 4 ages 15 to 17 as of July 19. Registration and tryout training is scheduled for 6 p.m. Tuesday at Titans Park. The Titans U-18 boys’ and girls’ teams will open their season June 26 at Ellerslie.
