Trojans topple Rebels late

The Rebels, 1-2-1, grabbed the lead at 2:32 of the final quarter on a Jesse Cooling field goal only to see the Trojans storm back and take the victory when Logan Woods scored his second touchdown of the game at 10:17.

Taylor Henry added the other Camrose major while Jonathan Heidebrecht had a field goal, three converts and a single.

Jordan Hare had a pair of majors for the Rebels while Cooling added two field goals and a convert and Liam Willis had a two-point convert.

Hare led the Rebels with 93 yards rushing on 12 carries while Cooling had 56 yards on 15 tries. Woods had 43 yards rushing on 10 carries for Camrose, who ran their record to 3-0. Henry grabbed three passes for 125 yards.

In other league action the homestanding Stettler Wildcats beat the Lindsay Thurber Raiders 20-0 to run their record to 2-1-1. The Raiders are 0-3 and have yet to score a point this season.

Braden Nelson led the Wildcats with 147 yards rushing on 11 carries while Landon Potter had 111 on 21 tries.

Greg Fowler had 76 on nine carries for the Raiders.
