U14A Rush win gold at Ringette Alberta Provincials

The Red Deer U14 Rush brought home the hardware from their trip to Ringette Alberta Provincials.

Red Deer went undefeated in six games in Strathmore from March 8-10, including a 5-3 win over the North West Ignite in the gold medal game to earn the title.

In the final, the Rush and Ignite were tied 2-2 in the first half. Red Deer pushed ahead 4-3 in the second half and scored late to close out the victory.

They outscored their opponents 11-2 in pool play, then won a pair of games in the crossover. In the semi-final, they knocked off the BV1 GnR, 8-3 to book a spot in the final.
