The U14AA Central Alberta Sting won the silver medal at Calgary’s Western Canadian Ringette Championships.

From Thursday to Saturday, the Sting, representing Alberta in the tournament, went 4-2 in six games throughout the week.

On Saturday they fell to Spruce Grove 4-3 in the gold medal game to capture silver.

Forward Kara Adamson led the way offensively in the tournament for the Sting scoring 12 points in six games. Forward Aubrie Flewelling was close behind with 10 points followed by Hannah Jorgensen, Dallas Lawes, and Aliyah Teskey who had nine points.

As a team, they scored 31 goals and only gave up 13 in pursuit of the championship.

In February, Central Alberta was named the Ringette Alberta 2024 provincial champions after capturing gold in Sherwood Park.

The Sting won four out of their six games of action including a 6-2 win in the gold medal game over the Zone Two Ringette Club.
