The U15 AA Red Deer Sutter Fund Chiefs are firing on all cylinders.

With one more game left for Red Deer before the medal games, the Chiefs are 2-1 in the Alberta Female Hockey League (AFHL) U15 AA provincial championships.

On Friday afternoon the Chiefs dominated the St. Albert Chargers 8-2 at Servus Arena in Red Deer.

Taylor Sorenson, Jensyn Stephenson (two), Bailey Rogers, Summer Greiner, and Parker Small (three) all scored for the home team.

With the victory, the Chiefs sit in third place in the standings and have guaranteed themselves a spot in at least the bronze medal game on Sunday.

However, with a win on Saturday against the Rocky Mountain Raiders at 8 a.m. and a loss in regulation from the Calgary Fire Red, the Chiefs could earn a spot in the gold medal match.

On Sunday the bronze medal game will take place at 9 a.m. followed by the gold medal game at 11:45 a.m.
