Following their third straight win at the U18 AA Alberta Female Provincial Championship, the Red Deer Sutter Fund Chiefs are well on their way to defending their crown.

On Friday afternoon in Okotoks, the Chiefs defeated the Sherwood Park Fury 6-3 to keep their undefeated streak alive at provincials.

Chiefs forward McConnell Devon led the way with four goals followed by goals from defenceman Payton Kletke and forward Malia Tetreault. Forward Bria Hull also notched four assists in the victory.

Previously, Red Deer won their first two games of the tournament on Thursday 5-3 over the Rocky Mountain Raiders and 2-1 against the St. Albert Raiders Sharks.

Red Deer will play their final game of the round-robin portion of the tournament on Saturday against Calgary Fire White for a chance to advance to the gold medal game on Sunday.

Last year the Sutter Fund Chiefs won the U18 AA provincial championship after defeating the North Central Impact 1-0 in the gold medal game in Leduc.
