Winners crowned at McClennan Ross Alberta Junior Tour Championship in central Alberta

Red Deer’s Serin Girard was one of eight players to take home titles at McClennan Ross Alberta Junior Tour Championship at Wolf Creek Golf Resort in Ponoka.

In the final AJT event of the season, Girard, 11, captured her hardware in the Girls U13 age group, shooting an 82 for a one-stroke victory over Olivia Johnson.

Camrose product Jayla Kucy took home the title in the Girls U17 age group, winning by one stroke with a four-over-par 74. The victory was Kucy’s fourth AJT title in a row.

In the Girls U15 age group, Spohie Dhawliwal captured the victory with a 10-over-par 80, five strokes clear of Emma Liu.

The Girls U19 winner was Zoe Banack, finishing with a plus-12 82, five strokes better than Brooklyn Campbell.

Chase Lassman captured the Boys U13 crown with a five-over 75 and Christian Flick won the U15 boys title with a wild two-under 68, for his first junior win.

Josiah Tong won the Boys U15 age group with a 71 and Rhees Moss took home the title in the Boys U19 category.

Overall, 125 players hit the course for the 27th edition of the tour championship.
