LEDUC — The Blackfalds Wranglers skated into a wall Friday at the junior B provincial tournament, losing 9-4 to the Whitecourt Wolverines.

The loss drops the Wranglers into a tie for second place in Pool B with the host Leduc Riggers who tied the Cold Lake Ice 3-3 on Friday.

The Wranglers got two goals from Jason Bell and one each from David Jantzie and Jared Williams.

Lane Swier took the loss after surrendering three goals on 11 shots, Tanner Schalin came in and allowed six goals on 33 shots the rest of the way.

The Wranglers tangle with the Riggers today at noon.

In Pool A action the Beaumont Chiefs beat the Okotoks Bisons 6-3 to it atop the pool with a 2-0-0 record and the North Peace Navigators tied Calgary 2-2.
