Wranglers knock off Rams in Heritage Junior B Play

The new Look Sylvan Lake Wranglers earned their second win the Heritage Junior B Hockey League season on the weekend.

Sunday, the Wranglers knocked off the Rocky Mountain House Rams 5-1. With the victory, they moved to 2-4 on the season.

Cameron Loomis-Labrosse stopped 33 shots for the Wranglers in the win, while five different Sylvan Lake players found the scoresheet. Both Dylan Scheunert and Brett Westin each notched a goal and an assist. Zane Bennett, Austin Kalev and Braidon Westin also all added a goal.

Devin Carroll made 46 saves for the Rams and Brett McNutt notched their only goal.

The Red Deer Vipers fell 4-2 to the Mountainview Colts on home ice Saturday. After starting the season 4-0, the Wranglers have dropped their last two contests.

Keaton Sawicki and Eric Melnyk scored for Red Deer in the loss.
