Red Deer RCMP are trying to locate a missing 12-year-old boy.

RCMP received a complaint on Monday that Landon McGillvery left home on his BMX bike on Sunday and did not return home.

He was last seen in the 48th Avenue and 53rd Street area of Red Deer.

Police have made inquiries into his known frequented locations but he has yet to be located.

McGillvery is described as native, 167 cm (5 ft-6 in) tall, 50 kgs (110 lbs), short black hair, brown eyes, and a scar on his right arm and forehead.

He was wearing a blue shirt with yellow NIKE writing, brown shorts, red hat, and red, black and white DC shoes.
