$90M to build more housing for homeless, low-income Albertans

The provincial government is providing more than $90 million in capital grants to build more housing for homeless and low-to-moderate-income Albertans.

CALGARY — The provincial government is providing more than $90 million in capital grants to build more housing for homeless and low-to-moderate-income Albertans.

Housing Minister Jonathan Denis says the money is to go towards 27 projects in 13 communities.

Denis says it’s an important investment for lower-income seniors, recent immigrants and the homeless.

The capital housing program supports projects that involve municipalities, charitable and non-profit groups or the private sector.
