I recently heard on the news of two separate attacks on children by pit bulls.
Just a few days before a friend of mine lost a much loved pet as a pit bull attacked. When she could not find her cat she called Animal Services and was told a cat matching the description of hers was killed by a pit bull in her neighbourhood.
If I had a pet or child and lived in this vicinity, I would be very concerned for their safety.
If this dog would attack and kill a cat, I certainly would not trust it near a child.
Obviously the dog’s owner did not or could not control the animal.
