Acoustic benefit concert at The Hub

A lineup of toe-tapping Alberta bands, including Pear and Back Porch Swing, will perform a benefit concert in Red Deer on Friday, Dec. 2.

The third annual acoustic Christmas benefit concert for Art from the Streets will be held at 7 p.m. at The Hub, 4936 Ross St.

CKUA host Tom Coxworth will host an evening of performances by 10 artists, including Darren Johnson, Claude Godin, Carolyn Harley, Justine Vandergrift and Prairie’s Edge.

Tickets are $10 plus one non-perishable food item for the Red Deer Food Bank.

Art from the Streets provides a welcoming art studio in downtown Red Deer.

Its mission is to provide studio space, art supplies and support to Red Deer’s downtown and homeless population.
