Stettler Wildcats at Camrose Trojans, 4:30 p.m. — Not knowing what kind of talent the teams have this year makes it tough to pick any of the early games. But these two teams were close last year and the fact the game is in Camrose we’ll give them the edge. Pick: Camrose.

Notre Dame Cougars at Wetaskiwin Sabres, 7:30 p.m. — Once again two close teams, who battled to stay out of the basement last season. The Cougars did win the head-to-head match up, so with that in mind pick Notre Dame.

Friday

Rocky Mountain House Rebels at Lacombe, 4:30 p.m. — The Rams have put together a solid program, which should carry over to this season. Rocky is improving, but a tough start on the road. Pick: Lacombe.

Lindsay Thurber Raiders at Sylvan Lake Lakers, 4:30 p.m. — Another tough pick as the two teams were within one win of each other last season. Once again the fact the game is in Sylvan may be the difference. Pick: Sylvan.
