EDMONTON — An Edmonton family doctor has been banned from practising medicine for having sex with one of his patients.

The College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta says Dr. Wlodzimierz Rydz has been suspended for 18-months.

He must also complete a course on how doctors are supposed to act with patients and pay a $28,683.59 fee to cover the cost of the colleges’ investigation.

When he is cleared to see patients again he will have his conduct reviewed by the college for five years and can only treat males.
