CALGARY — The Alberta government is looking at raising taxes on alcohol and tobacco to promote a healthier lifestyle while also increasing provincial coffers.
Premier Alison Redford says she believes Albertans are sensible and reasonable and that raising sin taxes is just one of the options they are considering as they prepare for the next budget.
