DRAYTON VALLEY — Alberta Environment has laid environmental charges against Petenco Resources Ltd.
The charges are releasing a substance that caused an adverse effect to the environment, failing to report the release and failing to properly clean up after a release.
The Environmental Protection and Enhancement Act charges result from a pipeline break in Drayton Valley, between January and March 2008.
The company’s first court appearance is set for Oct. 20 in Drayton Valley Provincial Court.
