FORT SASKATCHEWAN — An Alberta couple is $22 million richer after a trip to the grocery store to buy some pickles.

Lawayne Musslewhite and Marillyn Hodgkinson of Fort Saskatchewan had the only ticket that matched all seven numbers for Friday’s Lotto Max jackpot.

Musslewhite says he went to a Sobey’s outlet to buy some pickles for sandwiches last week and grabbed six lottery tickets on the way out.

He was anything but sour upon discovering his good luck on Saturday when he checked the numbers online.

The couple claimed their cheque this afternoon.

They’re planning a holiday in Arizona and want to buy a new home with a dishwasher.
