Alberta man pleads guilty in crash

Euart McEwen of Leduc County was originally also charged with impaired driving causing death.

The charges stemmed from a horrific crash near Leduc, just south of Edmonton, in July 2009.

McEwen was driving a welding truck that collided with a car carrying three people.

Seventy-seven-year-old Maria Zetson of Camrose, was killed along with her daughter and son-in-law — Rita McGillivray, 53, and Ian McGillivray, 60 — who were visiting from Surrey, B.C.
