EDMONTON — Alberta is sending more crews to B.C. to help fight raging forest fires.
The additional 140 staff will join about 150 Alberta firefighters who have been in the area since early this month battling wildfires.
Alberta Sustainable Resource Development says the fire hazard in Alberta is fairly low.
The department says the exported firefighters can be recalled quickly if the wildfire situation in Alberta changes unexpectedly.
Alberta currently has 13 wildfires, all of which are under control.
