Albertans asked for input into cultural future

Albertans are being asked to share their thoughts on charting this province’s cultural future.

Albertans are being asked to share their thoughts on charting this province’s cultural future.

For the first time, the government of Alberta is seeking wide-ranging public input into which paths Alberta should follow to ensure an innovative, vibrant and sustainable cultural scene in the years to come.

Some opinions will be expressed this weekend at a Culture Forum 2012 held at Red Deer College and involving 400 delegates from non-profit, voluntary, multicultural, arts, heritage and private sector organizations.

But all Albertans will get a chance to make their voices heard in an online survey that will ask the same questions put to delegates about charting a course for this province’s cultural future.

The survey will be available from Feb. 28 to March 28 on the website: culture.alberta.ca/cultureforum2012.
