Albertans to get free flu shots in fall; plan in works for H1N1 vaccine

Albertans will be getting free seasonal flu shots in the fall.

EDMONTON — Albertans will be getting free seasonal flu shots in the fall.

Health Minister Ron Liepert says the vaccine will be available through public health clinics, some doctors offices and some pharmacists.

He says it’s something the government has been working toward for a number of years.

The province is also working on a plan to immunize residents against the H1N1 swine flu virus.

Details on that program are to be announced later.
