A man suspected of pulling off robberies at five Calgary banks over a five-day period has been arrested.

CALGARY — A man suspected of pulling off robberies at five Calgary banks over a five-day period has been arrested.

Police say the 25-year-old man had been wanted on several Canada-wide warrants when he was taken into custody without incident overnight.

The first robbery occurred last Thursday afternoon at a Bank of Montreal branch and was followed by separate holdups of CIBC outlets on Friday and Saturday afternoon.

A TD Canada Trust branch and a Scotiabank outlet were held up in less than half an hour on Monday.

In each case, a note was produced indicating the robber had a weapon.

Quentin Mark Brown is also wanted on a Canada-wide warrant issued by the Correctional Service of Canada for allegedly violating his parole.
