Amazons take down Hounds

The Central Alberta Amazons defeated the Medicine Hat Hounds twice in Alberta Junior Female Hockey League play at the Penhold Regional Multiplex.

The Central Alberta Amazons defeated the Medicine Hat Hounds twice in Alberta Junior Female Hockey League play at the Penhold Regional Multiplex.

The Amazons won 9-1 Friday and 6-2 Saturday.

Kelsey Mastel scored three times and added an assist on Friday with Noelle Gouchie, Presley Hollman, Charissa Kadar, Taylor Rankin, Allie Silbernagel and Alexa Stang adding one each. Rankin and Hollman added two assists each.

Kelly Hausauer finished with 16 saves in goal.

On Saturday, Gouchie, Hollman, Madison Moskowy, Silbernagel, Stang and Autumn Woelk scored once each with Gouchie picking up a pair of assists. Skylar Kartasiuk finished with 10 saves.
