EDMONTON — The Alberta Court of Appeal has denied early parole to an Edmonton man who killed his business partner.

Murray Maclenaghan was found guilty of second-degree murder after a second trial two years ago.

The first had ended with a jury finding him not criminally responsible, but the Crown appealed.

Don Hanscom was at the rock business he shared with Maclenaghan in July 2004 when his partner blasted him three times with a shotgun.
