The trio was among the Grade 1 students across the city to receive seedlings to mark the annual event. The City of Red Deer’s apple tree is the first planting in the school’s edible garden project, which will eventually see herb, raspberries and strawberries sown along the school’s front and perhaps in the new skateboard park being constructed in the school yard.
