An autopsy conducted on the woman who was found dead in the Red Deer Normandeau neighbourhood on Monday concluded her death was not suspicious.

The Medical Examiner completed the autopsy on Tuesday. RCMP media spokesperson Kathe DeHeer said because the death was not suspicious no other details will be released.

A death is treated as suspicious when something out of the ordinary is found at the scene and police want to ensure any potential evidence is preserved should it prove to be crime-related.

Police were called to a residence in the area around 1 p.m. on Monday with a report of a deceased 45-year-old woman.
