The Red Deer Boston Pizza Braves ran their AA league record to 4-0 with a 16-3 victory over Round Hill, the newest addition to the league, Saturday.

The Red Deer Boston Pizza Braves ran their AA league record to 4-0 with a 16-3 victory over Round Hill, the newest addition to the league, Saturday.

Logan Marshall started on the mound, tossing four scoreless innings of one-hit ball. Teagan Calonna and Chaz Piché came in in relief. Dylan Hollman had a solo home run and a pair of walks while scoring three times. Reid Stoyberg drove in three runs with a single and a double while Alec Mitchell contributed a two-run double, a single and a walk and scored twice. Stephon Fontaine also drove in a pair of runs with a single and a double.

l•In other AA action, the Red Deer Sutter Fund Braves won one of three starts during the weekend.

The Braves downed Taber 4-3 while losing 10-7 to Innisfail and 20-6 to Acme.

Jusung Lee drove in the winning run against Taber, scoring Brenan Grove, who walked. Taylor Triffo had a double and a walk and Chandler Knibbs a single, walk and a RBI. Ty Elliott had a single, double and drove in three runs against Innisfail while Craig See added a single and a double, Nathan Mah a double, Mark Toms a single and two RBIs and Jayden Hutlet a run-scoring single. Jordan Braumberger had a single, was hit by a pitch and drove in three runs against Acme.

The Red Deer Dick’s Auto Braves improved their AA league record to 4-2 as they downed Lacombe 16-3 and Okotoks 18-0 and lost 12-3 to Camrose during the weekend.
