Bauer takes Farmer’s Bonspiel title

Bauer, whose supporting cast consisted of Daryl and Mitch Bauer and Ryan Stacey, surrendered a single point in the first end but grabbed a permanent lead with three in the third en route to capturing his second consecutive Farmers title.

The winning foursome stole another point in the fourth end and three more in the fifth frame. Glover, who was backed by Brian Ziegler, Hugh Lockhart and Shaun Planaden, took one in the sixth end and then conceded.

Meanwhile, Melvin Johanson defeated Ross Morrison 7-3 in the B-event final and Dennis Duncan took C-event honours with a 5-2 win over Brian Lougheed.

The D- and E-event winners were Frank Olson (7-4 over Jim Richardson) and Larry Marshall (7-2 over Dale McMullen).
