Layne Bensmiller scored twice for the Red Deer Rebels Black in a 5-5 tie with host Lloydminster in Alberta Major Bantam Hockey League play Sunday.

Tyler Steenbergen, Parker Smyth and Josh Ho also scored for the visitors, while Carson Franks made 28 saves.

The Rebels Black dropped a 5-3 decision to the visiting Calgary Bronks in another weekend outing, getting goals from Smyth, Steenbergen and Zach Knight. Franks made three saves and teammate Cole Sears stopped 33 shots.

Meanwhile, the Red Deer Rebels White edged host Fort Saskatchewan 3-2 and dropped the visiting Calgary Northstars 3-1.

Toran Corbier, Kale Howarth and Chase Olsen scored against Fort Saskatchewan, where Branden Bilodeau made 22 saves.

Mack Differenz, Milton Elliot and Quentin Greenwood tallied against the North Stars and Brody Dirk made 23 saves.
