With an abundance of mosquitoes, this tree swallow was able to get its meal without taking flight, picking flying insects out of the air as it rested on the barbed wire fence. A pair of the nesting birds seem to have taken up residence in a Bluebird box near the Ellis Blue Bird Farm just north of the Dow Chemical plant at Prentis.
