A six-woman team calling themselves Blister Sisters are hosting a Kidney March fundraiser at Bo’s Bar and Grill on July 6 starting at 7:30 p.m.
Dueling Pianoes will be on stage and money raised from a silent auction, raffle, and 50/50 draw will go to the Kidney Foundation of Canada.
Tickets are $25 each and includes a drink and appetizer. Tickets are available by calling team member Lori Cartwright at 403-302-9076.Tickets at the door are $15 each for Dueling Pianoes.
Blister Sisters will also hold a fundraising barbecue at Gasoline Alley Harley-Davidson on July 28 to 29 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. “We’re doing whatever we can to raise whatever we can,” Cartwright said.
So far the Red Deer team has raised $6,315 for the third annual Kidney March, a three-day, 100-km walk from Millarville, Alta., to Calgary on Sept. 9, 10 and 11. People are welcome to join the team.
