The Braves downed the Lacombe Dodgers 13-10 Saturday and beat the Innisfail Indians 13-6 Sunday before losing 8-3 to the Rocky Mountain House Sun Devils.

The Braves trailed the Dodgers 2-0 after four innings, but exploded for six runs in the fifth, keyed by Ty Elliott’s two-out, two-run triple.

Alec Mitchell was two-for-five with a pair of RBIs and a run scored while Logan Marshall had two hits in five trips with an RBI and two runs scored.

Calvin Ireland was two-for-five with one run and Jeff Ireland was one-for-three with a RBI and scored twice. Marshall started on the mound before giving way to Chaz Piche, Dylon Gammon and Jayden Hutlet, who tossed no-hit relief in the sixth and seventh innings to earn the win.

Jay Letkeman had a pair of hits with two runs batted in and scored once against Innisfail while Alex Heinzlmeir was two-for-four with one run and one RBI.

Mitchell drove in three runs and scored once while going one-for-two and Hutlet drove in a pair of runs with a hit and two walks.

Elliott tripled and scored twice.

Jeff Ireland started on the mound and scattered three singles over three innings with Letkeman, Heinzlmeir and Hutlet following in relief.

Marshall started against the Sun Devils and allowed a pair of runs in the second inning before giving way to Letkeman, who pitched a scoreless third.

The Devils took control of the game in the fourth inning, scoring five times with two away.

Joe Ireland pitched the final three innings for the Braves and allowed just one run on five singles.

Piche was two-for-three at the plate with a double and a run scored while Elliott had a triple.

Round one of the season continues this weekend with a three-game series at Rocky.
