Gaetz Avenue bridge will be closed for three nights this week as a construction crew completes work on the deck.
Lanes will be closed from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday as workers cut grooves into the concrete deck to provide traction.
This will be some of the final work done to the bridge this year, said Gord Elworthy, engineering planning superintendent.
Southbound lanes, however, may still be reduced following the bridge closure as work needs to be completed on the west barrier, he said.
Elworthy said further bridge construction will likely begin in the middle of May 2012 and anticipates that it will take close to four months to complete work primarily on the east side of the bridge.
