CALGARY — An eyewitness says it sounded like a plane striking a building when a transit bus slammed into a light-rail transit station platform in Calgary.
Six people were injured in the mid-morning crash in the downtown area.
Four of the injured were taken to hospital where they were listed in stable condition with non-life threatening injuries.
No one on the platform was injured.
Investigators are trying to determine if a mechanical problem or a medical issue led to the crash.
Shuttle buses were used to transport passengers after the rail line was closed while police investigated the crash.
