The injury-riddled Central Alberta Buccaneers are hoping that a week off will be to their benefit before they take on the Edmonton Army July 7 on the brand-new artificial turf at ME Global Park in Lacombe.

The injury-riddled Central Alberta Buccaneers are hoping that a week off will be to their benefit before they take on the Edmonton Army July 7 on the brand-new artificial turf at ME Global Park in Lacombe.

The Bucs fell to 0-4 in the Alberta Football League last weekend with a 30-13 loss to the host Edmonton Stallions. Bucs defensive lineman Dave Henderson turned in a stout effort with one and one-half sacks and corner Tylor Johnson went in at quarterback when Byron Stearns went down with an injury and passed for over 100 yards and ran for 78 in the second half.
