A man faces charges related to drunk driving after two cars were hit by a truck in northeast Calgary.

CALGARY — A man faces charges related to drunk driving after two cars were hit by a truck in northeast Calgary.

Police say the truck crossed the centre line of Métis Trail and side-swiped a car with two occupants before colliding with a second car.

The 20-year-old driver of the second vehicle is in hospital in critical condition and his 18-year-old female passenger was also injured, although not seriously.

The truck was eventually hit by an SUV carrying four people.

Charges against Kulwinder Singh Chohan of Calgary include impaired driving and impaired driving causing injury.
