CALGARY — Calgary police are investigating after someone stole the ashes of a man’s daughter from a truck and dumped them on the street.
The ashes were inside a green velvet pouch.
They were the remains of a 19-year-old woman who died four years ago in a traffic collision.
Police say some of the dumped ashes were recovered, but most were washed away by rain.
Investigators are trying to locate three teen girls who were seen in the area when the ashes were taken on Aug. 2.
